7:45am Gather with your fellow travelers at Capitol Tours office on Leaphart Road to prepare for departure to Pawley’s Island at 8:15am.
11:30am Arrive at Pawley’s Raw Bar for lunch.
1:00pm Travel a few miles to Brookgreen Gardens. The gardens were founded by Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington in 1931 as a cultural center melding art, nature and history.
1:15pm Arrive at Brookgreen Gardens where you will meet your docent guide who will take you on a one-hour tour of the Sculpture Gardens at 1:30pm.
3:30pm Board the motorcoach and travel to the Low Country Zoo at Brookgreen Gardens.
4:00pm Take a walk through the zoo with a Wildlife Specialist. Get up-close and learn about the various low country animals along the trail. The Wildlife Specialist will highlight conservation work and animal care practices while viewing otters, red wolves, foxes, deer, alligators, various bird species and more!
5:00pm It’s been a full day of fun and friendship! Time to start traveling back to West Columbia. We will make a stop along the way for you to purchase snacks/meal to enjoy on the bus as we travel.
